We understand the personal nature of an estate plan and need for an honest professional who is willing to work one on one with each client to ensure each client is comfortable and satisfied in knowing we are committed to our clients’ needs and wishes.
Our services include the following:
- Estate Planning: From drafting wills for those clients who are not in need of a trust, as well as trusts for those clients needing additional protection, and powers of attorneys to protect our clients at times of incapacity, we meet with each client and review their family and asset information to establish an appropriate estate plan that will accomplish their needs, goals and protect them from unnecessary and expensive court proceedings.
- Probate: In the event probate proceedings are necessary, we are experienced in the probate process and provide assistance to our clients to make sure the process is as worry free as possible. We handle the entire estate from filing the initial petition, notify all necessary parties, assist in the sale of assets, negotiate creditors’ claims, obtain appraisals, prepare all accountings and distribute the estate upon the close of the estate. In addition, if necessary, we handle related litigation if a dispute arises regarding the estate.
- Trust Administration: If a trust was in place, we work with our clients in the administration of the decedent’s trust to ensure an efficient and expeditious resolution to the trust estate. Our services include reviewing estate planning documents and/or arrangements, an analysis of the decedent’s assets, the manner in which the decedent wished to dispose of the assets at the time of death, an analysis of the tax impact of any desired plan of disposition and preparation of the documents necessary for carrying out the chosen plan of disposition.
